New Delhi: In the last 24 hours on Thursday, 132 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in the country. With this, the number of people infected so far in the country has increased to 4 crore 46 lakh, 82 thousand 338. Apart from this, the number of patients under treatment has come down to 1,906.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, so far 5 lakh 30 thousand 738 people have lost their lives due to infection in the country. At the same time, Kerala has added one more name to the list of patients who lost their lives due to the global pandemic while re-matching the figures of death due to infection.
Number of treated patients 0.01 percent
The daily infection rate is 0.08 percent, while the weekly infection rate is 0.08 percent. The number of patients under treatment for corona virus infection has come down to 1,906, which is 0.01 percent of the total cases.
A decrease of 16 cases has been registered in the number of patients being treated in the last 24 hours. According to the latest data, the national recovery rate of patients in the country is 98.81 percent.
220.35 crore doses of vaccines have been given
So far, a total of 4 crores 41 lakh 49 thousand 694 people have become infection free in India, while the death rate from Covid-19 is 1.19 percent.
According to the website of the Ministry of Health, 220.35 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
Significantly, on 7th August 2020, the number of corona virus infected in India had crossed 20 lakhs, 30 lakhs on 23rd August 2020 and 40 lakhs on 5th September 2020. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country.
In 2021, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 2 crore and on June 23, 2021, it had crossed three crore. Last year on January 25, the total cases of infection had crossed 40 million.
