Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia sent to judicial custody for 14 days

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party's senior leader Manish Sisodia, arrested in the Delhi liquor scam, was produced in the Rouse Avenue Court on Monday after the CBI remand was over. Manish Sisodia was sent to judicial custody on 20 March from the court. Rouse Avenue Court has sent Sisodia to judicial custody for 14 days. Sisodia was produced in the court today on March 6 after 2 days of remand.


Got permission to keep these things in custody

AAP leader Sisodia sought permission to keep medicines, a diary, a pen and Bhagavad Gita in jail during judicial custody. Sisodia will be kept in the meditation cell. The CBI told the court that we are not seeking Manish Sisodia's custody right now, but there will be a need for custodial interrogation in the next few days. At the same time, Manish Sisodia insisted on physical appearance, which was approved by the court. Please tell that Sisodia has been on CBI remand for a total of 7 days so far. The AAP leader was arrested by the CBI on February 26 after being questioned for over 8 hours.


SC refused to hear the bail application

On February 27, the Rouse Avenue Court sent Sisodia to CBI remand till March 4, so that he could be questioned. Meanwhile, Sisodia had moved his bail application to the Supreme Court as well. However, the Supreme Court refused to hear the petition. Sisodia was then produced in court on March 4, when judge MK Nagpal sent him to CBI custody for two more days. Then the CBI sought his custody from the court for three days.


Significantly, the CBI arrested Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia on February 26 for not cooperating in the investigation of the Delhi Excise Policy case and evading the questions of the investigators.
