Religious programs will be held at fixed places in UP, permission is necessary for processions

The Secretary of the Home Department directed that all necessary efforts should be made keeping in view the local needs, so that every festival is celebrated amidst peace and harmony.

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Home Department Principal Secretary Sanjay Prasad, keeping in mind the upcoming festivals, instructed the police officers on Wednesday that no procession/religious procession should be taken out in the state without due permission and permission should be given only to those religious processions. Those which are traditional, unnecessary permission should not be given to new events.


Police have to be extra sensitive

In this official statement, it has been said that in order to maintain strong law and order in the state, on Wednesday, Sanjay Prasad held a review meeting with Director General of Police RK Vishwakarma and Special Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar and other officers and gave necessary instructions.
