In the last 24 hours, 27 people died of COVID-19 in India, the highest number of deaths in a single day in 6 months, according to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday. The last time the maximum number of 20 deaths occurred in a day was on October 15, 2022. The death toll in the country has now increased to 5,31,091. There were six deaths in Delhi in 24 hours.
10,753 new cases in last 24 hours
Four deaths were reported in Maharashtra, three in Rajasthan and one each in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Six deaths occurred in Kerala. At the same time, 10,753 new cases of corona virus have been reported in India in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of active patients has increased to 53,720. Earlier, 11,109 new cases of corona virus infection were reported across the country.
220.66 crore people have been vaccinated
After the death of three patients each in Delhi and Rajasthan, two each in Chhattisgarh and Punjab and one each in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh due to infection in the country. The number of people who lost their lives due to corona virus infection increased to 5,31,091. Statistics said, 220.66 crore vaccines have been administered so far in the Kovid-19 vaccination campaign across the country.
