New picture of changing Kashmir! Srinagar is being transformed into a smart city before the G20 meet

According to Chief Secretary Arun Kumar, all arrangements are being made and all pending projects related to the G20 meeting will be completed on time.

New Delhi: Due to the pleasant weather of Kashmir and its beauty, it is called the heaven on earth. To add to this beauty, the city of Srinagar is being converted into a smart city. Almost 90 per cent of the work of making Srinagar a smart city has been completed. Under the Smart City, not only will you get to see the streets, parks and footpaths of Srinagar in a new colour, but also the historic Lal Chowk and Ghanta Ghar of Srinagar will get a facelift.


All projects will be completed on time

At present, work is going on fast day and night in Lal Chowk, Jhelum River and many surrounding areas. The machine work has been completed in the city centre and now the manual work is being carried out. In many places, the lighting work is almost in the final stage. The facelift that is being given to the Polo View will be particularly exciting. According to Chief Secretary Arun Kumar, all arrangements are being made and all pending projects related to the G20 meeting will be completed on time.


There will be a festive atmosphere in Srinagar

Kumar said, “There will be a festive atmosphere in Srinagar after all the projects to beautify the city are completed.” Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation and CEO of the Smart City project, Aamir Athar, says that 85 projects in the city are under Smart City implementation. Work is underway, which is almost complete. He said that G-20 is going to be an important event for the tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir and this event will further promote Kashmir as a tourist destination globally.


Common people are also very happy with the project

At the same time, common people are also very happy with this project and are also appreciating this step of the government. It is also the effort of the government that all the works being done under Smart City should be completed before May 23. According to information received from sources, representatives of all G20 countries except China will participate in the working group meeting on tourism in Srinagar on May 23. The G20 representatives will reach Srinagar on May 22 and the meeting will be held on May 23. On May 24, the delegates will be taken on a tour of major tourist places.
