Himachal elections: Amit Shah in Chamba, said - Congress is a 'mother-son' party

Union Home Minister Amit Shah alleged that mother and son are running Congress in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh. He asked how can the people named in the charge sheet give a good government in the state. The Home Minister made the remarks while referring to Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi and Pratibha Singh and his son Vikramaditya Singh in Himachal Pradesh.

New Delhi: Chamba (Himachal Pradesh). Union Home Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah on Tuesday alleged that mother and son are running the Congress in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh. He asked how can the people named in the charge sheet give a good government in the state. The Home Minister made the remarks while referring to Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi and Pratibha Singh and his son Vikramaditya Singh in Himachal Pradesh. Shah also said that the days of 'Raja-Rani' in democratic India are gone and this is the time for common people.


Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a rally in support of Bhattiyat MLA and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Bikram Singh Jaryal for the November 12 Assembly elections, here, broke the tradition of no party forming the government for two consecutive terms. Breaking, once again urged the BJP to form the government. Shah said that he has heard speeches of Congress leaders and he has nothing but to rely on this tradition of Himachal Pradesh.


In the elixir of freedom, we have taken a pledge for a drug-free India.

He said, 'Change this tradition and form the BJP government again in the state. Break this tradition and form the BJP government for the second time and we will ensure drug-free in Himachal by ending the drug trade here. (Prime Minister Narendra) Modiji has taken a pledge for a drug-free India in the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.


Accusing Congress of trying to create a divide between Upper and Lower Himachal, Shah said, "I have heard speeches of Congress leaders. They have nothing but the emphasis on 'Rivaj' (tradition)." But Rahul baba, Upper Himachal and Lower Himachal both belong to BJP and so is it in every corner of the state, he said. Said that Congress was responsible for a total of Rs 12 lakh crore 'scams' during its government at the Centre.


The Home Minister said, 'Still not satisfied, they have come to Himachal Pradesh now. How can those facing charge sheets give good government in the state? This is the time of the common people. We have to choose a government that works for the development of the state.' Shah said that there is no mention of development in the speeches of Congress leaders. He said, “In Delhi, it is a mother-son party and here also it is a mother-son party, there is no place for the youth in this. There is a place for youth only in BJP.
