New Delhi: These days a network of roads is being laid at a rapid pace in the country. Everyone appreciates the work of Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. In such a situation, it has been announced to build an expressway between Delhi and Dehradun.
The advantage of the construction of this expressway will be that in just 2.5 hours, passengers will be able to cover the distance of 212 km from Delhi to Dehradun. The central government says on this that the work of the expressway will be completed by December this year. At the same time, 60-70 percent work has been completed. According to the information, the total cost of building this 6-lane expressway is Rs 12 thousand crore. Presently it takes 6 hours to travel via Delhi-Saharanpur.
Will reach Haridwar in one and a half hour
It was told by the Central Government that after the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is ready, people will reach Dehradun from Delhi in two and a half hours. And it will take only 90 minutes to reach Haridwar from Delhi.
This expressway is divided into 4 parts. It is being built from the starting point of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Akshardham in Delhi via Shastri Park, Khajuri Khas, Baghpat, Shamli, Saharanpur to Uttarakhand and Dehradun. Please tell that the work of this highway will be completed by December 2023.
Birkis have also been taken care of in the construction of this expressway. In this, the route from Ganeshpur to Dehradun has been protected for wildlife. According to information, there is a provision of 12 kilometer elevated road, 6 animal underpasses, 2 elephant underpasses, 2 major bridges and 13 minor bridges.
This elevated road will be constructed between Ganeshpur to Dehradun. After the completion of this expressway, the distance from Delhi to Dehradun will be reduced from 235 km to 212 km only. Regarding this expressway, the central government says that its construction will promote tourism in Uttarakhand.
